Level: Intermediate Objective: At the end of the session, students are expected to: • Reinforce their English listening, spelling, writing, and typing skills through dictations.  Do you want to improve your English listening skills? What about your spelling, writing, and typing skills? Dictations can help in many ways. They even help you learn new vocabulary in context. Instructions: Listen at a NORMAL speed 1. Princess will dictate the sentence for the first time at a NORMAL speed. Type what you heard in the chatbox. Listen at a SLOW speed 2. Princess will dictate the same sentence for the second time at a SLOW speed. Type what you heard in the chatbox. 3. Princess will dictate the same sentence for the third time at a NORMAL speed again. Make corrections to what you have written if necessary. Type what you heard in the chatbox. 4. Princess will show the transcript or actual text of the sentences she dictated in the chatbox. 5. Compare your answers and check if you were able to listen to the sentences properly, spelled the words correctly and typed the sentences appropriately. Categories for Dictations: Short Dictations 1.
